Hob displays error message E6 / E641
Issue
The induction hob displays E6 or E641 on the control panel and may stop heating or operate incorrectly.
This error usually indicates a power supply or installation issue.
Typical signs:
- E6 or E641 appears when the hob is switched on
- Cooking zones may not heat
- The error returns after restarting the appliance
- The issue may occur shortly after installation
Resolution
Start by checking the most common causes of the problem. In many cases, the issue is related to the electrical connection.
- Switch the hob off and on again
- Touch the power button to deactivate the appliance, then switch it back on.
- Temporary power supply interruptions can occasionally trigger the error.
- Reset the appliance
- Disconnect the hob from the power supply for at least 30 seconds.
- For built-in hobs, switch the circuit off at the fuse box, then restore power.
- Check the installation
- Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional electrician.
- If the hob was recently installed, verify that it has been connected according to the installation instructions.
- Many induction hobs require a specific single-phase or multi-phase wiring configuration.
- Contact a qualified electrician
- The electrician can verify the incoming supply voltage, phase configuration, and wiring connections.
